Matthew A. Mateer

Mr. Mateer received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Risk Management and Insurance, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from CSU, Sacramento in December 2017. After college, he went on to obtain his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Charleston School of Law before ultimately becoming licensed to practice law in Texas in April 2021.

Prior to joining Daw & Ray, LLP in January 2024, Mr. Mateer worked for a criminal defense firm in Houston, Texas handling all types of cases ranging from Class B Misdemeanors all the way up to First Degree Felonies. Mr. Mateer is currently a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court in the Southern District.

Mr. Mateer’s areas of concentration include personal injury, premises liability, commercial liability, and first and third-party insurance defense.
