Mr. Drabek graduated from Bradley University (cum laude) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1977 and received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Southern Methodist University in 1980. He became licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in November 1980 and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Courts in the Western and Southern Districts of Texas.

Mr. Drabek is the managing partner of the South Texas office located in McAllen. He joined Daw & Ray as a partner in June of 2006. Mr. Drabek has maintained and operated offices in the Rio Grande Valley since 1986. Before joining Daw & Ray, Mr. Drabek was in private practice at Drabek and Associates in McAllen, Texas and was formerly a senior shareholder in the law firm of Hirsch, Glover, Robinson, and Sheiness.

Mr. Drabek’s practice includes handling all aspects of commercial, personal injury, and property damage litigation arising from construction defect, premises liability, negligent security, products liability, and commercial and personal transportation liability. He is a highly regarded insurance defense attorney who has tried over 250 cases to verdict in over 30 different counties in Texas. Mr. Drabek is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Cameron County Bar Association, where he served as a member of the board of directors from 2003 to 2006, the Hidalgo County Bar Association, and the Houston Bar Association, where he is a Life Fellow.
