Ross O. BrendelMr. Brendel received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology-Cum Laude from Texas Christian University, where he was elected twice as class representative for the Student Government Association and was named a TCU scholar. He is a Kappa Sigma Fraternity alumnus. He obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law and was licensed to practice law in Texas in 2016.

Mr. Brendel handled environmental claims and litigation in a special liability unit at a major insurance company prior to law school. He has since been a litigator practicing criminal defense, collections, and insurance defense. Prior to joining Daw & Ray, Mr. Brendel was a private and court appointed criminal defense attorney for several counties and a trial appearance attorney for major banks and lending institutions. He was also an attorney at a special investigative unit/insurance defense firm in Fort Worth, TX and an insurance defense/construction defect firm in San Antonio, TX.

Mr. Brendel’s areas of concentration include personal injury, premises liability, and first and third-party insurance defense.

The State Bar of Texas, through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, does designate attorneys as board certified in various areas of law. Willie Ben Daw, III, James L. Ray, and C. Thomas Valentine are board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. No other attorneys associated with Daw & Ray are board certified in any field recognized by the State Bar of Texas.
