Daniel A. Ortega
Mr. Ortega received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from New England School of Law in Boston and was licensed to practice law in Texas in 2009.
While in law school, Mr. Ortega was an member and editor of the New England Journal of Criminal and Civil Confinement. Before joining Daw & Ray, LLP in December 2014, Mr. Ortega was an associate for a Dallas-based law firm, where he was a member of the Halliburton team working in connection with all civil litigation and investigations concerning BP’s Macondo well blowout in the Gulf of Mexico. He is currently a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts of the Western and Southern Districts of Texas.
Mr. Ortega’s areas of concentration include personal injury, premises liability, commercial liability, and first and third party insurance defense.
