Ms. Cavada received her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. She also holds a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Prior to joining Daw & Ray, Ms. Cavada practiced as a bankruptcy attorney in the Southern and Western Districts of Texas, experienced in Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and Chapter 11 cases. She taught undergraduate courses in ethics and psychology as an adjunct instructor. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Cavada worked as an analyst, concentrating on human resources, employee training and development, policy, benefits administration, and employee misconduct investigations. She also worked as a contract analyst, conducting performance reviews on local government contracts, including analyzing and reporting on contractor diversity trends.
Since 2016, Ms. Cavada sits as a Commissioner on the San Antonio Firefighters’ & Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission.
Ms. Cavada is admitted to the Southern and Western districts of Texas and is a member of the Federal Bar Association and the San Antonio Bar Association.
